A Knight's Ominous Arrival
This is a dream from my teenage years. I’m searching for my Mom after being awakened by lightning flash. I go through my house and quick lightning pulses show me an empty house. Our basement had to be accessed from outside with a heavy door in the ground. It was unfinished, basically a large room dug into the ground. The floors were dirt, walls were large rocks and boulders. It smelled like earth. I opened the door, called out to my Mom then made it to the bottom of the stairs. I felt a rush of wind against my face, felt my hair blown back from it and hear an exhale. Lightening flashes again and a horse is directly in front of me, it’s his breath I felt. Sitting in the horse is a classic knight in full armor, his face covered holding a jousting lance pointed at me. I woke out of fear.
Dreams often weave together emotions, subconscious fears, and memories, creating a tapestry of symbolism. Here’s a detailed interpretation of your dream:

-
Earthy, Unfinished Basement:
- The earthy and unfinished nature of the basement could symbolize raw, unrefined emotions or thoughts. The basement being basic and untouched might represent exploring raw, foundational aspects of your psyche, or tackling unresolved issues.
-

Fear and Awakening:
- Waking in fear suggests an encounter with something deeply unsettling or unprocessed in your psyche. This fear could be related to transitioning to adulthood, facing new responsibilities, or confronting personal fears and insecurities during your teenage years.

Your subconscious might have been encouraging you to face these changes and uncertainties head-on, despite the fear they evoke.
